Our Programs

We provide a nurturing and creative environment that fosters learning through exploration and play. Our approach includes:

> Hands-on Learning
We carve pumpkins, collect and study bugs and acorns, paint with pudding, take nature walks to the Rose Garden and much more! If you're coming to Fairmont, prepare to get messy and have some fun.

> Creative Arts Focus
At Fairmont, we love to get our groove on. Children particpate in monthly dance, drama and yoga classes.* Drama and yoga are taught by two of our fabulous Fairmont parents.

> Parent Participation
Through classroom volunteering (required for parents of one and two year olds*) and other community activities, parents see first-hand how their child interacts in a learning environment with other children in addition to joining a community of parents and teachers who share similar interests and concerns.

> Small Class Sizes and Teacher to Child Ratios
Classes for one and two year olds have a maximum of 8 children with two adults: one teacher and a parent volunteer. For three and four year olds, the classes have a maximum of 12 children with two adults: one teacher and an assistant.

> Monthly and Weekly Themes
Activities revolve around themes including family, "all about me," fire station, holidays, vacations and seasons.

> Center-based Classrooms
Centers include housekeeping, music, creation station, pretend play and the cozy corner. This organization provides children with opportunities for making their own choices and encourages working with others.

* Other monthly classes include chapel and spanish.
** A full class will have a parent rotation of about once a month.
