Staff

The Fairmont PMO staff has four classroom teachers and a director.  Parents volunteer daily in the classrooms as teacher assistants.  The program also has a board of directors, which meets four times per year.  The board is made up of church representatives, parent representatives, and the director. 

Judy Gabriel– One Year Old Class Teacher

Judy comes to us from her home state of Michigan. She has been in Raleigh for over a year now, and loves the weather, especially the lack of REALLY cold weather, and the fact that she is able to spend time with her daughter and her family. Judy has worked in childcare for over twenty years, and brings her experience in and out of the classroom with her! She worked in a private daycare, and also taught kindergarten, second and third graders.

When she is not playing with and loving on her one year old charges at Fairmont, Judy spends her time spoiling her grandchildren, tending to her indoor plants and volunteering with her church. Judy has three children and four grandchildren that she devotes much of her time to. She also enjoys living her life to its fullest!

Nicole Richardson – Two Year Olds Class Teacher

Nicole has been with Fairmont for 4 years, and she brings a lot to the program! She has a degree in Elementary Education from North Carolina Central University. Nicole has been in the childcare field for over twenty years. She was married to her wonderful husband in 1994, and they have two wonderful children. Nicole likes the preschool age because she enjoys watching children discover their abilities and accomplish things they did not think they could. She is able to teach young children structure and still make it seem like a game!

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her children and husband. They visit local museums, go to the parks and attend movies. Nicole also enjoys reading a good book when she has the time.

Rashon Hack—Three and Four Year Olds Class Teacher

Rashon is entering her third year at Fairmont, with a small break to have her second child! Rashon also hails from Michigan, and has been in the childcare field for 13 years. She has worked in private home care facilities, as well as Montessori schools, and other well known centers.  She has training in many different areas of childcare, including some Montessori and early childhood development training. Rashon considers it a joy and privilege to have a part in the growth and development of young children. She has worked alongside Fairmont’s Director as an acting Assistant Director, and is actively involved in Fairmont PMO fundraisers and events.

Rashon is a wife and mother of two children. Her daughter attends Fairmont PMO’s Two’s program, and her son is a rising high school freshman. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her children.

Jamie Ryan — Fairmont PMO Director

Jamie joined Fairmont in January of 2008, after taking some time to stay home with her young children. Jamie has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and has been in the childcare field for 13 years. She has worked in administrative as well as teaching roles.  Jamie brings her knowledge of five star daycare credentials and Wake County kindergarten expectations to the table, as well as a passion to see the program grow and succeed. Jamie enjoys the daily interaction with children and parents, and feels that all parents should be encouraged to make the most of each experience they have with their children.

In her spare time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her two boys. Her youngest attends Fairmont’s four year old program, and her oldest is a rising first grader. Jamie also enjoys spending time with friends, gardening, organizing, baking and cooking and decorating her newly purchased home.
