Fairmont Early Learning Center, formerly Fairmont Parent's Morning Out, is a year-round enrichment program for preschoolers ages 1 to 4. We are conveniently located near Cameron Village, NC State and downtown Raleigh. Our programs provide a nurturing and creative environment that fosters learning through exploration and play.
Our History
Fairmont Early Learning Center was founded in 1998 by two mothers who had been searching for a program that offered socialization for both parents and their children. Over the years, Fairmont has grown in size and scope but the core ideas of community and hands-on learning are still the same.
Unique Parent Cooperative
In the spirit of our founders, we continue to provide opportunities for parents to participate in their child's learning and engage with our children and teachers. As a parent of a one and/or two year old, you will assist your child’s teacher in the classroom on a rotating basis*. For your three and four year old, we welcome you to continue this participation by helping with one of Fairmont’s events during the school year or volunteering your time to make our Fairmont community a better place. These opportunities allow parents to see first-hand how their child interacts in a learning environment and plays other children. In addition, parents get to know one another in a relaxed, friendly setting.
* A full class will have a parent rotation of about once a month.
